Fundraising

The Friends of Seattle Civic Dance Theater Fund was established to:

• Provide scholarships for dance students serious in their studies
• Support costuming and set design
• Provide Pointe shoes for Company members; and to meet other needs of the company

This Fund is supported by gifts from individuals, families, and local businesses as well as fundraising activities such as Family Fun Night, Holiday Babysitting Club, and Ballerina Birthday Parties. Contact the office for details and to book your event!

Scholarships

Seattle Civic Dance Theatre holds an open audition for partial scholarships for ballet classes at the dance school.

Students are evaluated on appearance, coordination, posture/Port de Bras, whether he or she understands the combinations of steps, movement, musicality, knowledge of basic steps (at their level), and presentation.
